Abstract :
High-order simulations of flow through stenotic vessels were performed using the spectral/hp element method. Asymmetric flow features, that were observed downstream of the stenosis, produced fluctuating regions of wall shear stress. Local stenosis morphologies were also found to affect flow characteristics.
