Abstract :
The magnetic field generator (MFG) for producing the transverse magnetic field switching off the direct current in the vacuum chamber is presented. The method of calculating generator coils inductance for different geometrical dimensions and various systems of coils connections, assuming the maximization of the magnetic flux density value in the contact gap and the maximization of the vacuum chamber switching ability, is presented. The possibilities of MAG program for designing magnetic field generators is described.
