Abstract
Sicel Technologies has developed an in vivo detector for 14C labeled compounds. Initial studies in rats have been completed in which labeled 2-deoxyglucose and 5-fluoruracil have been monitored dynamically in both tumors and normal tissue. These results are discussed in the context of monitoring tumor metabolism and chemotherapeutic drug uptake.
