Abstract :
This paper proposes an application-specific design system (ASDS) for embedded micro-controllers for various applications. The ASDS analyzes application programs, generates a suitable architecture for each application, and translates the architecture into synthesisable Verilog descriptions. Users could use this ASDS to generate an optimized micro-controller for their applications. Greater efficiency in terms of core area and power dissipation of an embedded micro-controller is provided by the ASDS.
