Things that disrupt project schedules

Anyone who has worked on projects knows that there are many things that can affect the schedule of a project. Let´s consider what these things might be-and perhaps some people have comments on additional things that could cause problems. For those with less experience this will hopefully provide some insights that can help to avoid or at least minimize such problems in future projects.
