Abstract
A multivariable self-tuning control design based on a feedforward paradigm and the generalized minimum variance (GMV) control strategy is presented. The real-time implementation of this controller on a coupled electric-drive pilot plant is discussed. The results of experiments on the pilot plant demonstrated that good performance can be achieved using the design.
