Abstract
40Gb/s spectral phase encoding OCDMA transmission is shown to allow successful transmission over pre-compensated fibre links up to 50km. Spectral narrowing occurs for both post-compensated and pre-compensated links due to self phase modulation (SPM), unlike conventional OTDM systems.
