Jitter and phase noise in frequency dividers

Repeats short, earlier investigations dealing with the noise properties of digital frequency dividers (FDs), compares these results with later experimental measurements, and provides a concise theoretical discussion. We then combine theoretical and experimental achievements into practical formulas applicable for design and appreciation of the noise quality of digital dividers.
