Abstract :
This paper presents the performance of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) system contains of 50 modules using monocrystalline PV technology with the total nominal array power of 2.85 kWp. This GCPV system was installed at Blok 15, SIRIM Berhad, Shah Alam, Malaysia. After 14 years of operation under Malaysia´s climate, the result was evaluated. Based on the result obtained, it have shown that average performance ratio (PR) of 53% after 14 years of operation under outdoor exposure. According to new findings, several factors such as temperature, browning effect, cable lost lifetime (15.8%), dust and dirt (1.8%) and aging factor (29.4%) has been identified as major factors that affect the performance of system. These factors contributed to the decrement on the PV performance under this climate.
