Abstract :
A wideband single-layer microstrip reflectarray is investigated. Firstly, a new dual-resonance unit cell is proposed for the single-layer reflectarray, which provides an approximately linear phase response during 0-360° range. Additionally, its phase response curves are nearly parallel within a broad band, which can widen the bandwidth. Then, a 576-element reflectarray of size 12λ×12λ using the proposed unit cell is designed and analyzed. Simulation results show that the boresight gain is 27.9 dBi and the 1-dB bandwidth is greater than 39.78% at Q band.
