Abstract :
A dual polarizaed dielectric resonator antenna with a pair of balanced probes feeding structure is proposed, which delivers excellent performance in terms of polarization purity and port isolation. The presented antenna demonstrates a low cross-polariztion level of -35 dB and the worst port isolation of 40 dB in the passband. The impedance bandwidth is 500 MHz (8.3%) with a central frequency of 6.0 GHz for the return loss no more than -10 dB. Additionally, in the broadside direction, the symmetric radiation patterns are also achieved due to the symmetric balanced feeding mechanism.
