Abstract
This paper proposes a control strategy for the boost dc-dc converter that combines a sliding mode control law with feedforward compensation techniques. The main objective is the improvement of the system´s performance in presence of perturbations. In particular, the case where the converter is loaded with a constant current type load and supplied from a slow varying voltage source is considered. To avoid increasing the number of required sensors, the signals necessary to implement the feedforward compensation are obtained using virtual sensors. Simulation results are presented in order to show the improved performance of the converter with the proposed strategy.
