  • Abstract
In this paper we stressed that using the same set of simulation tools throughout the research, design and production processes leads to a very accurate prediction of DWDM undersea transmission system performance. We emphasized that system designers gain time advantage if using "in-house" simulation tools since all the upgrades and verification tests were performed at the earlier stages of the code development cycle.
