Abstract :
Based on the multipulse model for speech coding, we propose a method for estimating the LPC input pulses using L1-norm. Our method renders a preselected signal-to-noise ratio for every analysis frame. Additionally, it includes a general framework capable of yielding multipulse sequences with different characteristics for a given speech signal.
