Abstract
This paper discusses the resolution property of the Improved Maximum Likelihood Method (IMLM), which was recently proposed as a high resolution multi-dimensional spectral estimation algorithm. For a uniformly sampled two-dimensional array, the IMLM is compared to the Bartlett Method, the Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM) and the Maximum Entropy Method (MEM).
