Abstract
Pulse shaping filters are applied for the resolution of superposed deterministic signals. The superposed signals consist of different signals (pulses) with known waveforms but completely unknown arrival times. For each of the involved signals, a filter is designed to produce a large peak at the output, if the input is this specified signal. The outputs corresponding to the other signals are suppressed. The desired filter properties are defined with bounds on the envelopes or least-squares fitting to specified shapes. Applications of the filters in EMG signal processing are presented.
