Abstract :
This paper presents a recurrence relation that enables one to obtain the inverse filter associated with an adaptive escalator predictor (AEP). The behaviour of this inverse filter is illustrated by means of a simple experiment related to the detection and frequency estimation of a sinusoidal burst embedded in band-limited noise.
