Abstract :
A distributed signal processor has been developed with the following objectives: \\bullet Efficient execution of signal processing functions such as Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters, FFTs, beamforming \\bullet Easily programmed by systems engineers using a High Order Language (HOL) \\bullet Loose external coupling of the distributed signal processing elements to facilitate interconnection/synchronization \\bullet Utilize VLSI. The distributed signal processor is comprised of bus interconnected signal processing elements which are programmed using a high order block diagram/processing graph oriented notation.
