  • Abstract
    The influence of microwaves on cell membrane permeability, chromatin condensation state and electrokinetic properties of human buccal cell nuclei was investigated. Microwave irradiation was found to induce increases in membrane permeability and chromatin condensation, and to decrease the electronegativity of the cell nuclei. The obtained data are discussed in connection with the mechanisms of microwave radiation effects on cells.
