Abstract :
The transcendental dispersion equation was obtained and analysed by linear approximation. Such equation describes electron-wave mechanism of oscillation amplification based on coherent Smith-Parsell effect, which realized in the open wave-guide - periodic structure system. The capacity of energy transmission from electron beam to electromagnetic field by fast mode of space charge and extending wave discreteness which depends on electron beam thickness and frequency were determined.
