Abstract :
Summary form only given. This paper presents a method of calculating the information receiving delay in an Intelligent Network (IN). This method is based on an M/M/1 queuing theory model and allows one to calculate the receiving time of different services in an IN. Using the described method, it is possible to build an optimal network structure according to the minimum cost criterion and to any given limitations (for example, the service receiving time demanded by the subscribers can be a limitation).
