Abstract :
The new two-frequency principle of frequency scanning is described. The distinctive feature of the method is the use of the superposition of two waves with different frequencies from two sources located at different points of the waveguide structure. This field superposition is extracted by square-law detectors embedded in radiators. When the frequencies vary, their difference remains constant. As a result of such superposition, a so-called "wave of intensity", arises with the frequency equal to a difference of frequencies of the primary sources. The phase difference of the radiator is varied, thereby allowing the scanning of a radiation pattern.
