Abstract
The results of bicosecant far field pattern synthesis of a reflector antenna with aperture size of about 35 wavelengths are discussed. Two versions of the antenna models are used: 1) a model with a multi-element linear irradiator under the parabolic reflector shape condition and 2) a model with a single-element irradiator under the condition of special profiling of the reflector surface. The concept of a superposition of the partial beams of a parabolic reflector was used in both algorithms of far field pattern synthesis. The numerical results, including the far field radiation pattern, gain and aperture efficiency calculations, are performed by means of the CAD program "FARFOR". The computations are very fast.
