Abstract
Change has become one of todays´ business environment constants. Therefore, the ability to proactively adapt is one of the most important criteria for organizations to survive. However, far too often necessary organizational changes cannot be implemented as intended. Due to complex commercial off the shelf (CCOTS) characteristics, most order management systems (OMS) react very rigidly to changes during operation. Hence, prevailing work gives advice on designing OMS and their co-operation with business organizations and changeable processes. Therefore, a cybernetic model of order management is developed to clarify mutual understanding of the cooperation between order management with the OMS.
