Abstract
The important changes of the industrial environment have led to new performance expression requirements, local and elementary ones as well as global and aggregated ones. This paper focuses especially on the mechanism which provides the expression of global aggregated performances. After having overviewed the chronological evolution of aggregated performance expression on the one hand and the industrial practice on the other hand, we present a commented definition of what the performance aggregation mechanism must be in order to face performance requirements. Lastly, formal representation and associated mathematical tool issues are discussed.
