Abstract :
In this paper, we present transient current analysis of induction generators used in wind power system before and after three-phase fault conditions. At first basic equations of induction generator, connected to infinite bus, are developed and then transient current analysis formulas are deduced for a three-phase fault before and after fault clearance. Furthermore, it is derived that the initial phase angle for the three-phase fault or restore phase angle of power supply voltages and the time at which maximum or minimum transient currents flow in the system.
