Abstract :
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is sensitive to the error of the frequency difference between sub-carriers, and the local carrier frequency offset between transmitter and receiver can cause intercarrier interference (ICI). Self ICI cancellation is one of the schemes to reduce the sensitivity of frequency offset. Based on the analysis of the original method of self ICI cancellation, with its disadvantage of low bandwidth efficiency, an ameliorated ICI cancellation scheme is developed in order to improve the bandwidth efficiency. Performance analysis and calculation show that the new scheme can cancel ICI efficiently and it can achieve double the bandwidth efficiency of the original method.
