Abstract
This paper proposes a novel PWM technique for three phase inverter using phase-segregated approach and thus attempts to unify the analysis and control of three phase electric motors along with inverter. The proposed PWM technique can also be used for realizing current regulated inverter which is the basic power conditioning system for high performance AC drives. The validity of the proposed PWM technique has been verified by applying to a phase current predictive current regulated inverter fed permanent magnet synchronous motor drive.
