Abstract :
In wireless communication channels, both additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and random impulsive noise (RIN) exist. However, most of the former researchers have neglected RIN by analyzing their communication systems under AWGN only. Here, a model considering both AWGN and RIN is put forward and the profound influence RIN has on wireless reception is illustrated. Finally, the efficacy of maximum ratio combining (MRC) diversity reception against RIN for the MPSK system is attested.
