Abstract
As the scale of campus networks increases dramatically, the problem of limited IP address space becomes urgent. Taking into account the reality of campus networks, the paper presents a solution to the problem by introducing a DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) and LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol) directory service integrated management system. Design of the system as well as details of all components are described. The proposed system can effectively solve the problem of limited IP address space and provides centralized IP management using a directory service.
