Abstract :
This paper designed a deformable model to get brain contours of head magnetic resonance image (MRI), in which a region based variable expansion force was presented. Our purpose was to solve the problems of time consuming and weak convergence at corners in the gradient vector flow (GVF) deformable models. Results proved its robustness and effectiveness.
