Abstract
The signal properties and the mathematical model of the high-resolution range profile of radar are studied. A novel tool, called a differential complex cepstrum (DCC), is then introduced for radar target recognition. Research into the radar signal model is conducted on the basis of the model, and two properties are derived. The DCC is suggested to be utilized for the statistics of airplane recognition. Simulations are given to show that the DCC is suitable for radar target recognition and the proposed algorithm is effective.
