Abstract :
A new block-coded phase/frequency modulation (BCM) scheme for augmented row and column (ARAC) is presented. A BCM scheme based on the trellis diagram is shown. The procedure of encoding, mapping, and decoding of the proposed BCM method are given. The method of constructing ARAC codes from original row and column (RAC) codes is given. The trellis diagram construction procedure of ARAC codes is illustrated. Examples of ARAC coding and their use in the BCM scheme are presented.
