Abstract
The problem of controlling a speed sensorless induction motor is considered. Smooth reference signals for rotor speed and rotor flux modulus are required to be tracked for any initial condition and for any unknown constant value of rotor resistance. An adaptive control scheme is presented which guarantees global asymptotic stability of the closed loop system.
