Abstract :
The paper continues the study of nonlinear interaction of the TCP (transmission control protocol) and RED (random early detection) by employing the celebrated "period three implies chaos" theorem of Li and Yorke, showing that a straightforward application of this theorem provides a sufficient condition under which the TCP-RED system undergoes chaotic behavior.
