Abstract
The problem of matrix eigenvalue clustering analysis in an EMI-region of the complex plane is handled. The considered matrices are subject to both polytopic and JL-structured uncertainties i.e. the uncertain matrix can be written as A = A + JEL where A, J and L are matrices belonging to polytopes of matrices whereas E is unknown. If the 2-norm of E is less than a robustness bound to be determined, the eigenvalues of any matrix A in the uncertainty domain are clustered in an EMI-region. The proposed bound is very easy to compute by using LMI tools and reveals not very conservative.
