Abstract :
In this paper the theory of generalized differentials with good open mapping properties is discussed. We discuss generalized differentiation (GDT) theories with special emphasis on the series of developments initiated by Jack Warga´s pioneering work on derivate containers. The theories of generalised differential quotients (GDQ) and Warga derivate containers (WDC) are also discussed.
