Abstract :
This paper proposes an adaptive frequency estimation algorithm with smaller computations for the sinusoid signal in the additive noises. The feature of the proposed method is controlling the sampling frequency directly. This method using an FIR notch filter without the multiplication is based on a gradient algorithm to obtain a zero output. To improve the estimation accuracy we use an IIR bandpass filter which can reduce the noise components. It is clear that the proposed algorithm can estimate the input frequency accurately and the computational complexity is very low.
