Abstract
A numerically rigorous mode-matching-based analysis of electromagnetic characteristics of the azimuthally corrugated rising-sun magnetron cavity is carried out. It is shown that employing the rising-sun cavity instead of a cavity with identical resonators enables one to expand the range of possible variation of the spatial harmonic amplitudes for those modes which are of practical use in millimeter-wave magnetrons.
