Abstract :
This paper presents the development of inventory control system for a prototype automatic warehouse using the Internet. To decrease lead-time and economics is very important in industrial management. Therefore this paper has developed the information system as well as the automatic warehouse machine in order to decrease lead time and increase network connectibility also. The automatic warehouse machine consists of a set of 3 AC motors driving a 3-axis mechanical system controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC). A technique to order and storage for any materials or goods can be done automatically inform of FIFO (First In First Out) by host computer together with PLC that connected to the Internet as Internet Server. The system can decrease the lead-time, therefore the holding cost and operation time are also decreased.
