Abstract :
The high energy density of thermophotovoltaic (TPV) systems present some engineering issues and trade-oft in designing the conversion array that are not as prevalent under typical one-sun illumination. This paper discusses some of these issues encountered in the development of a dense-array module based on the back-junction, back-contact, silicon cell for TPV applications.
