Abstract :
We have proposed a system for real-time measurement of distance, vibration velocity and displacement by means of optical frequency modulation in the time domain that employs digital signal processing. This paper describes the results of experiments that compare that system to a Zeeman laser system in measurements of vibration displacement at commercial frequency.
