Abstract
Chromosomal DNA consists of exons and introns. Exsons carry useful information and introns are "junk" DNA. However, introns may serve as a protection for unwanted destruction of those blocks of useful exons in case of mutation which happens often in the process of evolution. This nature of introns was introduced into genetic algorithms to improve the robustness of GA search.
