Abstract
Digital redesign is carried out to discretize an analog PWM control system used for a stepping motor. A new substitution model is used for analog transfer functions and a ramp-type approximation for the PWM generation. The redesigned controller is implemented on a DSP and shown to have the performance which is almost identical to that of the original analog controller.
