  • Abstract
The present status of new types of high-temperature platinum resistance thermometers (HTPRT), platinum sheath type and alumina sheath type, is reported. The result indicate that the platinum sheath type are stable up to 1170°C. The alumina sheath type also showed a good long-term stability at 1100°C and 1170°C. The result indicates that the HTPRTs developed in this investigation are applicable at temperatures above 962°C up to 1170°C.
