Abstract :
In recent years, the demand is increasing for more accurate information for natural phenomena to forecast. Therefore we have been applying case-based retrieval algorithms to forecast lightning flash. In this paper, we compare a new retrieval scheme which takes account of range of thundercloud with the conventional one. We show that the new scheme is effective from the viewpoint of number of retrieved cases.
