Abstract
Most of current wireless communications take sinusoidal waveforms derived from circles. In this paper, new modulation schemes using elliptical circles, instead of usual circles, are proposed. Several schemes proposed in this paper can be described as "elliptical modulation" which modulates the signals by varying the geometrical characteristics of ellipses. The elliptical modulation method involves variables such as eccentricity, rotation, revolution frequencies and offset inclination angles. In this paper, several schemes based upon elliptical modulation have been proposed. A performance evaluation of the proposed scheme is shown as well. The proposed schemes seem to open up a new research area of telecommunication field in the future.
