Abstract :
The TCP end-to-end congestion control plus RED router queue management can be modeled as a discrete-time dynamical system, which may create complex bifurcating and chaotic behaviors. Based on the features of the TCP-RED model, this paper applies the time-dependent delayed feedback method to control bifurcation and chaos in the system. A simple adaptive parameter-tuning algorithm is also proposed and evaluated.
