Abstract :
This paper describes a non-uniform sampling technique based on a noise-shaping control loop to digitally program the frequency response of switched-capacitor circuits. The use of noise-shaping modulation results in a beneficial shaping of the low-frequency sampling energy introduced by non-uniform sampling. The technique is able to provide high programmability range and resolution, while reducing the impact on the allowed signal bandwidth as compared to existing non-uniform sampling methods. The proposed technique has been verified with measurements on an integrated test-chip.
