Abstract :
Ontology-based architecture of multiagent system for automatic computer aided process planning (CAPP) is proposed in this paper, the basic structure of an individual agent is constructed in the architecture, and ontology of parts and features are presented in ontology translation center. Ontology interchange language (OIL) is used to detailed annotate syntax and semantics of parts features in the architecture, in which first-order predicates logic is applied to describe syntax and semantics of translation rules. Consequently, we believe the ontology-based architecture will meet the requirement of sharing, reusing and interoperating of parts features among multiagent automatic CAPP systems, and play an important reference role in knowledge representation of other research communities.
